Job Summary Accountant I

- Review and verify deposits and disbursements for state, federal,
and student financial aid/loan programs.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of funds.
- Conduct compliance reviews of nonpublic post-secondary
institutions.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
for daily tasks.
- Apply basic accounting principles in daily work.
- Audit and process invoices as required.
- Maintain professionalism in a business office environment and
adhere to business casual dress code.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely
financial operations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for student
financial aid programs.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of department procedures and
training documentation.
