Budget Analysts-Policy Analyst Tallahassee, FL 12 months FL-DOE-OSFA-Budget Analysts-Policy Analyst - The candidate will be doing professional accounting, budgeting & financial reporting. The training will be very technical & a very good understanding of accounting is critical for success in this job WORK ENVIRONMENT: Professional office CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES: · Maintains various specialized accounting records · Compiles and analyses of large amounts of financial data · Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations · Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) & Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Pronouncements · Understanding of Genal Ledgers, Trail Balances, and GAAP Financial Statements · Knowledge of Microsoft (ex. Excel, Word, Access, etc.) MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Must have CPA or BS in Accounting Must have 10 yrs of working with FASB/GASB Must have 10 yrs of financial statements preparation Must be advanced in Microsoft Office Must have General Ledger systems experience (Quickbooks, PeachTree, CYMA, FLAIR, etc.) Ability to create, update and manage desk procedures Must have financial & programmatic compliance audits experience
