Job Description:

Position PurposeThe Assistant Manager of Operations, under the supervision of the Director of Center Operations assist in all daily operations of the donor center, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and the overall performance and profitability of the center. The Assistant Manager of Operations responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. If you need an accommodation, please notify your immediate supervisor to begin the interactive process.Essential Job Functions* Responsible for all aspects of the donor center when the Center Manager is not present.* Collaborates with Training and Quality staff to ensure that training and quality goals are met.* Monitors and evaluates operations. Works with the Center Manager to develop action plans to maximize center efficiency.* Responsible for all personnel functions including hiring, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions and termination and the maintenance of all personnel records.* Directs the training activities of production employees in partnership with the Training Coordinator.* Oversees facility to achieve production targets and quality goals.* Review and approve employee schedules to accommodate donor production.* Directs and supervises employees.* Determine the adequacy and adjust inventory levels of all goods and supplies necessary for the operation of the donor center.* Assure center employees maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition and all equipment is kept in good working order.* Responsible for freezer management, including overseeing plasma shipments and equipment failures. You are required to answer all freezer alarms and deal with them appropriately.* Construct and submit timely and accurate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly or as required basis.* Develop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levels.* Control center donor funds.* Directs and monitors the performance of outside vendors.Education & Experience* High school diploma or GED required.* Two (2) years experience in the plasma center, including one (1) year experience in a supervisory position or Associates degree in science or management with no supervisory experience.RequirementsIn order for an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, they should be able to demonstrate the following:* Good oral and written communication skills* Provide a good customer service experience* Ability to read and interpret directions and instructions* Accurate data entry* Perform basic math calculations* Reasoning ability to identify, interpret and apply appropriate informationPhysical Requirements of the JobThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:* Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.* Frequently required to stand; walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.* Manual dexterity to perform all phases of the donor center operations.* Ability to stand for extended periods of time for up to four (4) hours at a time.* Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.* Noise level are usually moderate.
