Yard Operations Manager
Premier Transportation services a longstanding customer at this
Tifton Georgia Distribution Center location.
This is a 24-hour Yard Jockey operation.
Pay range: $52,000 - $59,800
Job Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager of this Yard Operations business unit is the
senior leadership position at the site; interacting daily and
in-person with our customer, using personal and industry-honed
skills and experience, related background, demonstrated history of
leadership through impacting and influencing the thoughts and
actions of over 20 team members, full understanding and deployment
of company and customer procedures, documented coaching &
direction, fully effective formalized training, the development of
individuals and curating a team that services our customers safely,
effectively and profitably. This is not a position requiring the
"best driver".
Rather we require a true leader with strong knowledge of
warehousing / trucking / logistics, an established and
well-developed comfort level with Microsoft Office (excel) and the
effective daily dedicated review, manipulation and application of
performance metrics.
The Operations Manager also plays a critical active role in the
ongoing efforts in driver recruitment, selection and retention.
