Responsibilities LPN - PRN Turning Point is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work PRN. The LPN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborate with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. In addition to the above, duties may include: Patient assessments Medication administration Medication education Provide direct patient care Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment Maintain accurate and complete data and records Performs observation rounds Communicates therapeutically and age appropriately Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care This position's days and hours will vary. Shift possibilities could be 2-4 days per week from 3p/4p to 8p. Qualifications One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
