Job Title: Medical TechnologistLocation: Albany, GAHours/Schedule: Nights; 3 days; 12 hour shiftsType: Direct Hire --Responsibilities Provides accurate and timely laboratory information based on the performance of analytical tests on human body substances. Correlates and interprets test data. This is done to detect evidence of or prevent disease or impairment and to promote and monitor good health. Monitors quality assurance and maintains laboratory instrumentation including all documentation. Follows established guidelines and protocols to provide requested clinical information to Physicians, nurses, and other relevant health care personnel. Orients and trains new employees. In the absence of direct supervision is able to temporarily act as a designated person in charge.--Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 2 year / Associate Degree in Allied Health (Required) 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Natural Science or related field (Preferred) ;In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree; an Associate Degree and a Minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 0 - 1 year Ability to perform in one or more laboratory departments as a clinical laboratory scientist. (Preferred) CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES Required Certifications/Licensures: ASCP preferred - certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB, or other agency approved by state of Georgia OR Completion of such certification within the requirements of Rules and Regulations of Clinical Laboratories, not to exceed 18 months.
