  • Specialty: Acute Care 3 (MedSurg)
  • Contract Length: 17 weeks
  • Job experience: Minimum 2 years in the specialty
  • Shifts are 12 hours, from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm
  • Weekend Requirement: Every Other
  • Holidays requirement: As needed
  • Floating is expected to all acute care and cardio or EC for acute care patient holds
  • General orientation is 1 week, including EMR training
  • Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2 years experience in MedSurg specialty
    • BLS and NIHSS required (both must be AHA)
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, all 12 hours
      • Weekend Requirement: Every Other
      • Holidays: As needed
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of beds: 44
        • Staff: 40
        • Patient Ratios: 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights
        • 4C is a seasonal unit, so once open they will work on 4C
          • Additional Details
          • Strict 75 Mile Radius from address on the traveler's DRIVER's License to hospital
          • EMR: Meditech, experience preferred but not required
          • Nurse Aides available: Yes, CNA's 1:8, generally 1:10, may also serve as sitters
          • Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
          • Telemetry availability: Yes, but monitored on a different unit
