Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 1/5/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit - Stepdown Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 48 hours per week Experience: 2 years in an acute care setting, specifically in Stepdown License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips Description: Strict 75-mile radius rule applies. Candidates must be within 75 miles from the facility. Experience of 2 years in Stepdown is required without exception. A clinical interview is available, or an "auto-offer" can be given based on a resume review. Unit notes indicate a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. There are 44 beds with 8 semi-private rooms (16 beds). Charge Nurse will serve as Clinical Supervisor. Weekend work is required every other weekend. All candidates must be flexible with holiday scheduling. Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Meditech. Types of patients include those recovering from CABG, cardiovascular surgeries, and various cardiac conditions. Critical skills required include the ability to manage drips like Cardizem, amiodarone, and dobutamine. The facility uses BiPap and CPAP but does not accommodate full vents. IV Team and Pharmacy are available 24/7. Candidates are expected to float to ICU only for stepdown patients if they have ICU experience. Orientation will cover floor specifics and common diagnoses. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover. Attendance and ability to float to higher acuity areas will be assessed. Dress code requires natural hair colors; no fake nails, shellac, facial piercings, or visible tattoos are allowed.
