Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 17 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Albany, GA - 31701 Shift Timing: Nights - 3*12 hrs Start date: 02/02/2026 Contract Duration: 17 weeks Unit: Respiratory Therapy Hours/week: 36 hours per week Contract Type: Travel (Radius rule 75 miles) - Shift Length: 12 hours - Care Setting: Acute Care - Unit: Respiratory Therapy - Charting System: MEDITECH Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join an acute care respiratory team supporting high-acuity adult and pediatric patients. This role requires strong critical care experience, comfort with intubation, ventilator management, and the ability to perform under high and heavy workloads. The RRT will be a frontline responder in respiratory emergencies and codes. Roles & Responsibilities - Perform all respiratory therapy duties including nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, CPT, and bedside PFTs - Serve as first-line responder for intubations during respiratory emergencies and codes - Manage ventilated patients, including Servo (U and I) ventilators - Collect and analyze ABGs, recognize critical values, and communicate findings promptly - In ICU settings: - Manage blood gases - Place arterial lines (training provided if needed) - Assist with bronchoscopy - Make informed recommendations for ventilator management - Work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations (NICU assignments require NRP) - Handle a high patient workload (average 13–15 patients per shift, approximately 550 minutes of treatments per shift) - Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, nursing staff, and internal clinical teams Experience & Requirements - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Required - Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience - Critical Care experience required - Experience in 300 bed hospitals required - Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment - Must be comfortable with intubating patients and managing ventilators independently - Ability to work in adult ICU settings is mandatory Licenses & Certifications - Active GA State Respiratory Therapy License (required at submission) - BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required - NRP – Required if assigned to NICU Application Process: Please submit your resume to ashutosh.kumar@medcadre.com or call (949) 404-4671 Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly for next steps.
