Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM • Must live 75 miles or more from the facility (driver's license address verification required) • Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required • Highly preferred travel experience or 5 years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility • Must have prior Meditech 6.15 experience • Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients • Work every 3-4th weekend and every other holiday • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS, TNCC preferred • Must pass online Cardiac Rhythms test (minimum 80% passing score) and ESI Triage Exam during orientation • Scrub color: Caribbean Blue • Handle approximately 140 patient visits per day including pediatric to geriatric populations • Provide care for trauma patients, stroke patients, and various emergency conditions • Perform own lab draws and IV starts • Work with 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays • Fast track area for less acute patients and screening of non-emergent cases • Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts depending on comfort level • Weekly COVID testing required if not vaccinated • 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department serving as a trauma and stroke center for the region. The department handles a high volume of approximately 140 visits per day, treating everything from pediatric to geriatric patients with various emergency conditions including trauma, stroke, and orthopedic cases.
