Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,942 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: State license required Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Critical care experience, intubation experience required, experience in a 300 bed facility required Description: Strict 75-mile radius rule applies. RRTs only; critical care experience is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and at least one travel contract. Experience in a facility with 300 beds is required. This position involves being the first line when intubating patients. Candidates must be comfortable with intubating patients. Therapists should be used to high and heavy workloads. Interviews will be conducted with internal RN staff, and profiles will then be submitted for approval. No second interview will be required. Therapists average 550 minutes of treatments per shift, with an average of 15 minutes per treatment. Each therapist can expect to handle an average of 13-15 patients per shift. Charge RT duties are required. Rotating holidays will be scheduled with permanent staff. No on-call duty is required. Scrub color is ceil blue, and ceil blue jackets are permitted. Ventilation systems used include Servo vents (U and I models). Hospitalist or Intensivist will be in-house 24/7. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts start at 6:45 am and pm, with specific clock-in times allowed. Initial training includes hospital and charting orientation, followed by gradually increased patient load. RTs will perform all related duties, including nebulizer therapy, airway management, BiPAP, CPAP, vent management, ABG collection, and bedside pulmonary function tests. Common patient conditions include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, cancers, among others. Assignments will depend on units, with varying responsibilities based on clinical settings. Candidates must be capable of working in adult ICU and managing vents. Confidence in making suggestions for vent management and interpreting ABGs is essential. Cancellation policy requires a commitment of 12 hours every 2 weeks. Charting will be conducted using MEDITECH. BSN is not required. License is required for submission. Care setting is acute.
