Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,948 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, critical care experience required License: State license required Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience and 1 travel contract required. Critical care experience is essential. Description: Strict 75 mile radius rule applies. RRTs only. Must have experience with intubating patients. Candidates should be familiar with high and heavy workloads. Interviews will be conducted with internal staff. No second interview will be needed. Therapists typically perform 550 minutes of treatments per shift. Average of 15 minutes per treatment, with an average of 13-15 patients per shift. Charge RT responsibilities include running a charge and clinical coordination. Weekend team requirement includes either Monday-Thursday or Friday-Sunday shifts. Holidays will be rotated in with permanent staff, with every other holiday expected. No call required. Scrub color should be ceil blue; a ceil blue jacket can also be worn. Common ventilators used are Servo vents. Pharmacy staff available 24/7. Shifts start times are 6:45 AM and 6:45 PM. Therapists can clock in within a 8-minute window before their shift starts. Floor assignments involve an initial week for hospital and charting orientation. Afterward, the workload will gradually increase over the following days. In the ICU setting, therapists will manage up to 4 airways. Average number of therapists scheduled on days is 11 and on nights is 10 or 11, depending on needs. Minimum one year of experience required for floor therapists, while two years are required for critical care. Therapists must be comfortable with adult ICU work and managing vents. They will receive training on line placement and expected to read ABGs and alert critical values. Charting system used is MEDITECH. BSN is not required.
