Job Description Medical Solutions Direct Hire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg / Telemetry for a nursing job in Albany, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: Ongoing - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible - Employment Type: Staff Medical?Surgical RN – Days & Nights Direct Hire | Full?Time | 12?Hour Shifts We are seeking skilled and dependable Medical?Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a high?acuity acute care environment, with opportunities available on both day and night shifts. The Med/Surg RN delivers high?quality, patient?centered care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions across multiple inpatient units. This role is ideal for nurses who value teamwork, adaptability, and maintaining strong clinical fundamentals while caring for diverse patient populations. Position Overview: - Permanent, full?time direct?hire role - 36 hours per week - Day and Night shift opportunities available - Labor pool model with floating within scope of care Shift Details: - 3 shifts per week - 12?hour shifts - Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM - Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Additional Incentives: - Sign?on bonus available (day shift eligible) - Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates - Comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities: - Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients. - Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. - Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and clinical protocols. - Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status. - Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams. - Accurately document care in the electronic medical record. - Float to assigned inpatient units within scope of care as needed. - Adhere to infection control standards and hospital safety policies. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development. Typical Unit Information: - Nurse?to?patient ratio: 1:6 - CNA support generally 1:8–1:10, with sitters available as needed - Telemetry monitoring available on select units - Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7 - Floor?specific orientation provided - Floating may include Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care units (within scope) Qualifications: Education - Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (Required) - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Experience - Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience Licensure & Certifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact) - Basic Life Support (BLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Why This Opportunity: This Medical?Surgical program offers a collaborative and supportive environment where nurses are valued as essential members of the care team.
