Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,948 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State license required Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRPE (if going to NICU) Must-Have: Critical care experience required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a 300 bed facility. Comfortable with intubating patients. Ability to manage high and heavy workloads. Experience with adult ICU and ventilatory management. Description: RRTs will be the first responders for intubation during codes. Therapists must be accustomed to handling an average of 13-15 patients per shift. Therapists perform an average of 550 minutes of treatment per shift, with approximately 15 minutes per treatment. Common patient disease processes include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancers. Duties include administering nebulizer treatments, airway management, utilizing bipap and cpap, and managing ventilators. RTs will also perform ABG collection and bedside pulmonary function tests. In the ICU, RTs may place A-lines, manage blood gases, intubate, and perform bronchoscopy. Assignments are based on unit needs, with therapists assigned up to four airways in the ICU. Weekend and holiday shifts will be rotated with permanent staff members. All therapists must be prepared to respond effectively in a critical care setting.
