Job Description:

We are looking for a Psychiatric APRNS to care for our adult patients in a long term psychiatric setting. This facility serves forensic and civil patients. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best psychiatric care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and treat adults, experiencing symptoms of a behavioral health disorders . Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and the state's Nurse Practice Act. Skills Proven experience as a Psychiatric APRN Excellent knowledge of care methods and procedures In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsible and compassionate Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Patient with excellent problem-solving skills Valid Psychiatric APRN license in Florida Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Salary: $75.00 per hour Medical specialties: Medical-Surgical Psychiatry Standard shift: Day shift Night shift Weekly schedule: Monday to Friday No weekends Weekend availability Work setting: Long term care COVID-19 considerations: All employees are required to wear a mask.
