This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurologist to provide best in class quality healthcare to our community.

• Georgia Coverdell Champion Hospital of the Year for stroke care in the medium-sized hospital category, (101 to 350 beds) for 2013

The Medical Center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. It operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants.

Position Description:

• Full-time
• Monday Friday, 8-5pm
• No Call
• Hospital based employment

Qualifications:

• Board eligible/certified in neurology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within an inter-disciplinary team and with referring physicians to provide high quality patient care
• Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development and team building. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record is a significant plus.
• Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to create a positive and productive environment that promotes collegiality and innovation in all settings
