General Anesthesiologist Job in Macon, Georgia

Join a high-acuity anesthesia department in Macon, GA, offering a broad case mix that includes pediatrics, Epic charting, and physician supervision of CRNAs.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $10,160-$10,710
• Start Date: 6/10/2026
• Assignment Length: 29 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Call: Call is expected; candidates should be willing to take call
• Openings: 2
• Location: Macon, Georgia (31201), a vibrant central Georgia community known for its historic charm, revitalized downtown, and welcoming atmosphere
• Case Mix: General Anesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia, Neuro Anesthesia, Orthopedic Anesthesia, OB Anesthesia, and Pediatrics
• Charting System: Epic
• Anesthesia Department: 36 anesthesia rooms with physician supervision of CRNAs

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of an approved Anesthesiology residency
• Board Certification required
• Current physician license or eligibility to obtain Georgia medical licensure
• ECFMG and FLEX, if applicable
• Pediatric anesthesia experience or comfort with pediatric cases is preferred and considered a strong plus
• Ability to work effectively within an anesthesia department with physician supervision of CRNAs

• Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures across multiple specialties
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient readiness for anesthesia
• Obtain and verify informed consent as appropriate
• Discuss anesthetic plans, options, and risks with patients and families
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patients' physiological status throughout procedures and recovery periods
• Perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety and positive outcomes
• Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the anesthesia department
• Supervise CRNAs as part of the anesthesia department's care delivery structure
