This is a year-round internship.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Create aerodynamics designs of centrifugal compressor Create air-solid models from compressor conceptual designs Carry out high fidelity computational fluid dynamics modeling of compressor design to predict the performance of the compressor design Compare the predicted results with test data from lab Carry out other tasks as directed by function manager Ability to work 30 hours/weekBackground & SkillsBACKGROUND & SKILLS A post-graduate student specialized in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, or Turbomachinery is preferred; outstanding undergraduate students will be considered Working knowledge of CAD packages Experience with MATLAB or Python is preferred Working knowledge of CFD/Structure software packages such as ANSYS, ANSYS CFX, or Fluent Excellent communication skills (with internal/external stakeholders) GPA of 3.5 or above Ability to begin work immediatelyAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
