Telework eligible Yes as determined by agency policy Duties Summary You will serve as a PROCUREMENT ANALYST in the POLICY OFFICE, CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND ALBANY, GA. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Please review the HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED, HOW TO APPLY, and WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT sections below for instructions.*** Learn more about this agency Responsibilities You will develop new acquisition policies and/or policy implementation instructions from Marine Corps Headquarters. You will disseminate information as well as advise the acquisition workforce on acquisition regulations and policy. You will conduct contract review board (CRB) evaluations of documents and procurement action request packages for sufficiency, regulatory and local policy compliance, as well as coordinate with the Office of General Counsel for legal sufficiency. You will conduct compliance reviews, which involves the capturing of trend analyses and the preparation of reports for senior leadership. You will serve as the agency point of contact for the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). You will train both in a classroom and deskside for users. Insurance of CPARS guidelines followed and rebuttals resolved are critical. You will serve as the focal point for coordination with Contracting Officer Representatives with current policy dissemination and the Joint Appointment Module and Surveillance and Performance Module. You will demonstrate positive customer service demonstrating flexibility, eagerness to learn, and customer orientation. You will provide positive customer service, which is critical to the successful accomplishment of the procurement analyst position within MARCORLOGCOM with interactions not only with the contracting staff and management, but customers as well. Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. Supervisory status No Promotion Potential 12 Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position requires membership in the Defense Acquisition Corps. To qualify for the GS-11: In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing pre-award and post-award contracting functions involving procurement contracts and monitoring contract performance. (This requirement can be obtained within the bachelor's degree or in addition to the degree.)NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD 1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000, and members of the Contingency Contracting Force are also exempt from meeting this requirement.
